Barron Associates begins KneeBRIGHT Clinical Trial for Video Game Rehab
The “Knee Biofeedback Rehabilitation Interface for Game-based Home Therapy (KneeBRIGHT)” system combines electromyography (EMG) biofeedback with video game therapy to provide knee osteoarthritis (OA) patients with an engaging, effective tool for conducting rehabilitation exercises at home. Barron Associates has begun a clinical trial to assess the efficacy of the KneeBRIGHT system at improving function for knee OA patients. The study will compare the exercise adherence and strength improvements of patients who complete 12 weeks of exercise using the KneeBRIGHT game (intervention group) with patients who complete 12 weeks of traditional rehabilitation exercise (control group).
